Work for Warriors IN was established in 2021 as a new branding. Previously known as the Indiana National Guard Outreach and Employment Team since 2013. Work for Warriors IN is a DOD funded employment program for the Indiana National Guard. Work for Warriors IN provides free employment services to both service members and employers. Work for Warriors IN builds relationships with military friendly employers and community partners.

Work for Warriors IN headquarters is out of the 38th Infantry Division Armory located at 3912 W. Minnesota St. Indianapolis, IN. Team members are dispursed across the state in Kokomo, Lafayette, Indianapolis, Lawrence, Franklin, Edinburgh, and Shelbyville for easy access to our clients. Our team has the ability to travel to any location within Indiana to provide our clients with assistance in person as requested.

Work for Warriors IN will conduct briefings, meetings, and face to face discussions at any public location on a by request basis. If interested in having Work for Warriors IN meet with you please contact us so we can schedule a time that meets your needs.

Mr. Meunier has served as a member of the Indiana National Guard for 13 years. Throughout his service he has been dedicated to the betterment of soldiers and their families. He is motivated and here to assist you in your career goals. 

Mrs. Chelsea Strawmyer

Community Relations

Division Armory

Mrs. Strawmyer comes from a family with a long history of military service. She is a spouse of a currently serving active duty solider in the Indiana National Guard. Prior to joining the team she served as a Career Readiness Counselor for the Indiana National Guard. This experience has lead her to dedicate herself to assisting service members and their families navigate employment.

Division Armory

Mrs. Obsitnick has had previous careers assisting with the Indiana National Guard. Her husband currently serves as an active duty soldier in the National Guard. She was the chair person for her husband's unit FRG, after that she decided she enjoyed helping soldiers and their families. Prior to joining the team she was a Family Readiness Support Assistant with the Indiana National Guard. She eventually joined the team to be able to assist in finding gainful employment for service members and their families. She looks forward to working with clients who need employment.

Mr. Travis Brummer

Quality Control

Mr. Brummer enjoys serving under his Quality Control Support role. He has a background in graphic design and enjoys the details of life. Depending on the day, you can find him outdoors, venturing through parks, or staying inside and watching basketball. He feels called to help others and wants to make sure our process stays optimized to better the lives of the clients we support. 

Mr. Andy Shackelford

Employment Specialist - Region 1

South Bend Armory

Mr. Shackelford or "Shack" as most people know him, is a recent retiree from nearly 23 years in the Indiana National Guard as an AGR soldier. Where as an enlisted Soldier his passion and dedication was leading and mentoring the outstanding service members of Indiana. His newly placed role as an Employment Specialist allows him to continue to serve this great state. When Andy isn't helping other you will find him with his wife and four children.

Ms. Felisha Sumner

Employment Specialist - Region 2

Kokomo Armory

Ms. Sumner has worked side by side with military personnel for the last 15 years. Felisha has mainly worked on Air Force installations with active duty but has had experience with other branches as well. Felisha has a passion for helping others and previously worked in the Mental Health field utilizing her Bachelor's in Health Science. However, her experience with military background and the urge to help others, lead her to become an Employment Specialist. Felisha is excited to work with client's in helping them achieve and succeed towards their career goals. 

Mrs. Kellie Cratty 

Employment Specialist - Region 4 

Camp Atterbury - Building 343

Mrs. Cratty has worked with Veterans for 14+ years. She previously worked with soldiers in the skilled trade construction industry to assist with submitting their Veteran Benefits each month. Kellie is passionate about continuing to work with soldiers and their families as an Employment Specialist.
